Wenger is a cockroach

Read an interview with Wenger yesterday in which he fell to brand new, desperate lows.

Quote: "It is always interesting to take a distance, because people keep your eye and brainwash you with what you think is right. We are in the semi-final of the FA Cup. How many times have we been? You have to accept that nothing is good enough, you have to live with that.”

Seriously, this is verging on psychopathic. Only a maniac like Wenger would attempt to pass off Arsenal beating Preston, Southampton reserves, Sutton Utd and Lincoln as an accomplishment.

First fourth was a trophy, now an FA Cup semi-final is a trophy. Next season, Europa Cup qualification will be a trophy. It will never end with this ghastly cockroach in charge.

"Get out of that heated atmosphere and look at things in an objective way. Sometimes it confirms what people say. Sometimes it doesn't. It is down to me to take the right distance - people are right and people are wrong as well. I managed about 2,000 games and might know a little something about the game as well.”

His arrogance is titanic, and his opinion of Arsenal fans, or anyone that happens to disagree with him, is borderline psychotic. All that exists is his selfish, narcissistic power grab at the expense of anyone or anything that stands in his way. Screw Arsenal and screw its supporters - the lonely old man who now only cares about perverting the agenda until end of days. Just like a dictator doesn't love his country, Wenger doesn't love the club, he loves himself. It's so painfully obvious.

This is a man who watched the Bayern thrashings another three times yet still managed to delude himself into believing that he was unlucky, tactically competent or his players actually give a sh*t. This berk watched Barcelona’s sensational turnaround against PSG on repeat just so he could spend five hours trying to dream up excuses in order to re-contextualise his own wretched failures.

Wenger is deplorable. This is embarrassing.

Nobody is objective, except Arsene Wenger – the master of faux-manipulation. According to him, Arsenal fans are manipulated chumps, conned into believing he is underachieving by an agenda-driven media. Yet anyone with a peanut for a brain can see the hypocrisy - how Wenger has spent the last decade using the very same media to perpetually and deliberately manipulate supporters with his litany of hair-brained excuses and lies.

These are the desperate, flailing throws of a malevolent tyrant, desperate to manoeuvre his way out of the grave he’s dug himself.

It’s only when you read this repellent hogwash that you realise how limp and feeble the Arsenal board is. Can you imagine any other high-profile club in Europe allowing their manager to spend so much time deliberately bleeding stories into the media, accusing its own fans of being brainwashed to deflect from his underachievement?

On the positive side, the protests are clearly getting to Wenger, and that’s why they have to continue at every single home game. And if Wenger has the audacity to sign another contract, Arsenal fans should protest every single weekend for the duration of those two years as well. That has to be made very clear to Arsenal Football Club.

And a message to the Arsenal fans that believe Wenger should go but sit idly at matches doing nothing while others make banners or organise marches, you’re an embarrassment to Arsenal Football Club and yourself. You deserve failure, you deserve manipulation, you deserve disrespect and you deserve to be conned. Brave, principled people have given you an avenue to express your frustration, and you’re silently throwing it in their faces.

I no longer have any sympathy for Arsenal fans that piss and moan about Wenger yet are too lazy or misguided to do anything that might make a difference.

Basically, put up or shut up.

Strongly agree with you mate, it is time Wenger left....thanks for the memories but we need a hungry manager with ambition, not an old hound ready to settle for peanuts.

Cannot fault the logic in your post, well written. I myself have been advocating for his sacking a lot more than 5 or 6 years, more like 10 years. For far too long players have been allowed to underperform with no repercussions whatsoever.

This has been noticeable in players like Arshavin,Eboue, et al.............. and now present day players like Walcott, Ozil, and so on. Lately I have noticed a change in his personality, in that his arrogance is becoming unbearable to the point of dictatorship!!

I live in Ireland and can't get to the same amount of games that I used to, and while this piece of garbage is in charge, I will not be back in a hurry.

We are light years behind Chelsea. We will have to take a sledgehammer to our squad and maybe 5 or 6 seasons to undo what Wenger has done.

Another stunning piece of writing - your previous article about his narcissistic behaviour was incredibly accurate and nobody else has come close in analysing how Wenger's mind works.

Thank god he doesn't run a dangerous country. Forget Trump, this guy is genuinely unhinged!

Salute for your direct involvement in joining the protest and march, AT from us the overseas Gooners. Don't mind the people who always undermine the number, as you said earlier that people must be used to the protest environment first rather than doing nothing.

As this example comment taken from other blog shows the slow but sure progress to UNDO the brainwashing effect of the middle of the road fans:

"I will protest next home game. I have consistently booed him this season and most of last season. Last season a lot of my peers that sit next to me tried to quieten me down. The last few weeks they are joining in. I am doing my little bit, hope it’s contagious and gets bigger. Wenger out we want our Arsenal back."

The guy directly in front of me has always been an AKB. The other day, he said I agree with you now. Hallelujah I said - if you can change your mind, anyone can."

In America, when a football team sucks, or doesn't win, we stop going to the games to the point where teams have to move to other cities. Carrying a sign is a joke. Stop going to the games. Season ticket holders should not go either.

Arsenal fans don't have any balls. They will never stop going to the games; they are like the manager. If Arsene Wenger really cares about Arsenal, he would announce he is leaving at the end of the season.

Absolutely clinical, surgical piece AT. You've encapsulated what I have said for years about Arsenal fans: they are passionless, spineless drones, with no backbone. Which is a perfect reflection of the spineless cowardly players and of course, the biggest coward of all, Wenger.
I'm constantly amazed at the shite I still see spouted by so-called rational people who claim to want him gone.

"He gave us the stadium"
WTF?! No, bank loans and fan investment gave the stadium. He just happened to be there. Is Fat Sam credited with the Reebok? Did Allegro build the new Juve stadium? 🙄

The one that gets my goat is "he deserves respect". WHY? Respect is a two-way street and that interview you've posted is just further evidence of what a repulsive, abhorrent individual Wenger is. Remember that Jacqui Oatley interview? Being rude to the only female reporter as she dared to hold him accountable? How many times has he blamed fans for his failure? How many other managers get away with this?! It's literally like nobody at board level understands PR. It's farcical.

He recently poo-pooed the club's history by claiming we a weren't in CL until he arrived...well dumbo, for starters you used to have to win the league to be in it. Meaning he'd be nowhere near. Also, I remember managers like Graham winning European trophies - this loser couldn't even beat 10-man Galatasaray after getting dumped out the CL group stage! Losing 10-2 to a Bayern squad who cost less and have a lower wage bill, but blaming the ref. Jokes!

He spent nearly £100m over summer and bought shite like Xhaka for £35m when Kante was available for £30m. Total tosser. Incompetence. Yet his dwindling fluffers will bitch about "resources" and "financially compete" when a sacked Ranieri has achieved more than he has in a decade!

Look st the way he and the AFC PR have gone out of their way to tarnish Sanchez. His crime? Too much of a winner! Worse still, some moronic Arsenal fans fall for this and start criticising him, the same way they criticised RVP whilst making excuses for Almunia, Eboue and Song and Diaby, etc. Arsenal fans are truly pathetic.

It's good that the protests have begun and bravo to the protesters. Again I have to temper this with criticism: WHERE WERE THESE PROTESTS 5 YEARS AGO?

Wenger is a shameless piece of shit, but to be fair I completely understand why he treats Arsenal fans like clueless retards, and that is because for over a decade, he was simply allowed to do whatever the bloody hell he felt like, without a squeak from the fans! They'd just chant his name regardless and swallow the excuses and lies.

So for instance, at any big club if you lose a match 8-2, the fans are all over you.
If you are knocked out of a cup by Bradford you won't survive.
If you throw a 4-goal lead at Newcastle, never been done, you're toast.
If you lose matches 6-3, 5-1, 6-0 IN THE SAME SEASON, you are toast. The fans will see to that.
If you claim you built the club and claim you have no money, whilst continually awarding yourself pay rises, making sure no player earns more than you, and paying garbage like Almunia, Song, Bendtner, Diaby etc Galactico wages, you don't survive.

What I don't understand is why all of a sudden, Arsenal fans have devised to get off their arses This year? What's different? Let's see:

Regular thrashings at the top teams? Check
Overpaying dross (Coquelin, Sanogo, Ramsey) check
Total mismanagement of star players who are demotivated and want out? (see Sanchez). Check
Out of the title race before March? Check
Humiliated first good team faced in the CL last 16? Check check.
Scrapping for top 4? Check!

AFC fans have sat back, and watched this shit-show unfold for the past TEN years and not so much as waved a white hanky in the stadium! In fact you had those hilarious retards at Red Action going on a Mardi Gras love-March for Wenger! LOL 😂😂

So excuse me but is it any wonder Wenger won't listen to fans or take them seriously? He must be thinking "these plebs usually shut the fuck up and let me do whatever so what's changed?". Arsenal have brought this on themselves. If after that 8-2, the protests had been cranked up (the failure had been persistent by that point) not only would we have a new competent managed, but maybe a sporting director, no more fucking Gazidis, and the heat significantly turned up on Kroenke.

Now let's make one thing clear: Kroenke might be a c***, but he's given Wenker £100m to spend on transfers over summer, pays him wanes higher than Conte (champion-elect), Allegri and Simeone; gives him total freedom on football side to spunk £200m on a wage bill filled to the brim with shite; and doesn't interfere on the sporting side. Those are dream conditions and is why Wenger always speaks so highly of the board. The failure is sporting, on the pitch. 10 fucking 2 to Bayern, pretty sure even Barnet would put up a better fight.

Those spineless passionless mugs who are "too afraid" to say anything deserve every bit of failure that's coming. They're part of the problem, and frankly, their silence probably means a new contract for Wenker. I'm particularly sick of the coward that says "I pay thousands of pounds every year blabla this ain't good enough blabla..." Before going on to say "I can't just stop going". Really?? Would you keep paying top dollar to go into a museum that stank of shit more and more each time you go in? No. The worst thing about "fans" like that is they don't want him there, but will continue to pay out, and sit silently. It'd another matter altogether if they made noise and gave him hell in the ground. But oh no.

The spinelessness of these fans means that the club is an international laughing stock. Just fancy this: Spuds, ManYoo, Chelski, Liverpool and Citeh fans are ALL PRAYING WENGER STAYS! There will be parties in Manchester and west London if Le Fraud signs an extension. That's what a joke he's become, and that's what a joke this club's fans have allowed the club to become. The fans inside the Emirates (not all but most) on the whole, frail, mentally weak, ambitionless losers, who only pipe up to paint bog standard minimal requirements as success. They take their cue right from that dickhead "manager". And they deserve him. Fancy that, for 2/3 years the main cause of celebration has been scraping past Spurs despite spending double what they do on wages. Fucking hilarious.

Loser Arsenal fans are the weakest in England. Period.

As for Wenger making out he's "sacrificed" a lot for Arsenal? I believe your marriage fell apart after he publicly humiliated his wife by carrying on with some rapper-slapper in public. He used to fly over to bang her after CL matches. Yup, Arsene is "a man of principle" though eh? Our very own Martin Luther King, selflessly "sacrificing himself" for a measly £8.5m a year basic. LMFAO. 😂😂

One final thing for the embarrassing Arsenal fans. The latest thing I keep hearing is "I don't like the abuse Arsene is getting". Since no core arguments can be made for Le Fraud on a sporting level, the desperate AKBs have now turned to a "moral" one. Abuse you say? Yes, let's talk about that: is this the same Arsene Wenger who was just given a touchline ban for calling a ref a cheat and then telling him not once, but twice, to go fuck himself? 🤔

Or is this the same Wenger who's received more touchline bans for foul and abusive behaviour to 4th officials than ANY manager in CL HISTORY?! Oh I get it: abuse is terrible to Arsene as he just isn't the type of guy who would abuse others himself. Right? Or lie. Or talk down to fans like dirt. Or cheat on his wife and humiliate her in public. Or treat the only female reporter doing her job like filth, and then BAN her from reporting on any other future Arsenal press conference? The same manager was decided to start a character assassination on Alexis Sanchez because Sanchez will be leaving and he refuses to accept responsibility? The same virtuous man who gets destroyed by Bayern then blames the ref? Despite conceding TEN?! 😂😂😂

Yep. Totally deserved this - Arsenal fans have allowed this total farce to get to this stage. Which is why I laugh when I read Wenger linked to Madrid and Barca (tbf Wenger answered a question nobody was asking lol). At Madrid, Barca, Chelski etc...the fans aren't pussies. Managers get gobbled up and the board acts because that's prompted by the fans.

We all laugh at the Scousers but their fans managed to drive out TWO distant Yank owners from Texas, who only invested in the club to ransack it. Their fans didn't say "what can we do, they'll ignore us". They took forceful action and in the end, Hicks and Gillett got fed up and sold up. When Hodgson started managing like a muppet I didn't hear Liverpool fans blame their American owners for Hodgson being a shit manager - they simply used the evidence on the pitch.

Meanwhile, at Joke FC we have mugs like Gary Neville insulting the fans who finally have the balls to call it as it is. Funny cos I remember ManYoo fans giving Moyes less than 6 months before deciding to protest, fly planes with banners etc...did Neville call them idiots then? 🤔 And pls remember Moyes beat Wenger and went further in the CL in his only season than Le Fraud has managed in EIGHT years!

You get what you deserve.

Great article AT, another nail on the head job. I gave up my season ticket years ago and vowed never to go back until the club and Wenger stopped taking us for a ride. To think Arsenal charge the highest ticket prices in world football for a decade of utter shit that we have endured.

I strongly believe he is going to stay another two years and it's just a matter of time before we get this announcement. Do you see him as manager still next season?

Who knows? Not being one, it's hard to second guess a demented psychotic.

Dear Arsenal Truth,

The protests are getting to AW.... and AW has been getting to you for so long. Is it logical to assume that the more the protests, the angrier you are going to get? Just wondering but that's on a soft note.

On a more serious note, I found your post about AW's narcissism spot on. It was so true that it was uncanny. I have now come to understand why AW is the way he is ever since I read that your post. Brilliant!!!

So, my question for you is, knowing AW for who he really is, why do you still allow him get to you so much? If its the love of the club that draws such angst from you over him, you can relax in the knowledge that the club will survive AW, no matter how bad he pushes us down. It is all a matter of time.

So, my advice to you? Please relax......

Keep on posting!! I love them as always. Great stuff.

Hi Babatunde. Wenger doesn't get to me as much as you think, I just prefer to use very strong language to get my point across. And if I see the opportunity to exploit a tipping point, I'm going to take it.

Hope you're well.

"And a message to the Arsenal fans that believe Wenger should go but sit idle doing nothing while others make banners or organise marches. You’re an embarrassment to Arsenal Football Club and yourself. You deserve failure, you deserve manipulation, you deserve disrespect and you deserve to be conned. Brave, principled people have given you an avenue to express your frustration, and you’re silently throwing it in their faces.

I no longer have any sympathy for Arsenal fans that piss and moan about Wenger yet are too lazy or misguided to do anything that might make a difference."

Brave? Principled? Sssshhhh now AT. I agree with your stance that the club is rotten but launching a scathing attack on every single Arsenal fan who shares an opinion that Wenger should be removed from post but doesn't hold hands or make a pretty picture is bang out of line. I'm sure some fit into the category you've decided to blanket us all with, but equally some of us don't have the time, the funds, the inclination to join in with marches or make pointless banners. This however does not stop us being entitled to our frigging opinion without being vilified as not giving a shit.

You're usually more measured than that but frankly, that was fucking ridiculous. And to call people who 'march' and make banners brave and principled is an insult to being brave and principled, and you damn well know it.

Poor AT. Really poor.

Either you think Wenger should be removed or you don't. If you think he should be removed and are going to the game yet can't be bothered to walk 200 yards to the old East Stand and make your feelings known, then you're either a) A lazy coward or b) Don't really want him removed. In which case, stop complaining you're getting what you deserve.

A lot of people who have held up banners in the ground and outside have been punched and spat at. So yes, I think they're brave and principled individuals.

March 14, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterAJL

Ah, so it's just the fans that go to the match, think Wenger should go but decide not to march and/or hold a banner. How about those that are armchair fans, either didn't or not really caring enough, geographically challenged or not having the financial ability to afford to go? Where do they fit into this categorisation of fan?

Don't worry, rhetorical questions. Yours was a sweeping statement that you would chastise someone else for.

Maybe I should have been clearer. I meant those that do attend, obviously it's not necessarily realistic for everybody else. If you're an armchair fan in China I wouldn't expect you to fly over for a pre-match Wenger Out march. But what do you want me to say? Only people within x miles radius that didn't attend the game should march?

March 14, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterAJL

No, just be clearer as you say. But appreciate you clearing it up.

Ironically, I've been on a 'waiting list' for a normal season ticket for a few seasons. It would be a stretch but I'd pay it. I received a call from someone in Arsenal's ticket flogging department and I thought I was in. Turns out they thought I was in a financial position to spunk £25k or something ridiculous for a diamond club membership. Kinda sums the general shitness of the club up at the moment. Even the marketing department cannot get it right.

March 14, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterAJL

My form of protest was to stop going back in 2009 when even then many of us saw the writing on the wall. I now live down in the West Country and I wish each and every protester the very best and hope they keep up the good work. If I lived nearer I would be with them - Wenger intends to stay, that much is obvious, so keep those protests going.

March 15, 2017 | Unregistered Commenter1970Gooner

Spot on again AT, to be fair.

March 15, 2017 | Unregistered Commentermarinersmullet

For the life of me, can't understand any fan who not only continues to go along to the Emirates but invests anything in the club. A true supporter would never pay money to line the pockets of those who don't give a shit.

Protests come in many forms, but the most effective is vacating your seat or cancelling your membership. It may say 60,000, but if only 1,000 turned up, action would be taken.

Shame on any Arsenal fan who still attends games!

March 16, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterMICHAEL.B

Donald Trump is showing what it would be like have Arsene Wenger in charge of your country - bloody terrifying.

Excellent posts AT and Raskolnikov. It's always great when others articulate my thoughts!

I knew the clown wasn't to be taken seriously as a manager this year when he insinuated that he signs players partly based on others in the club e.g. German-speaking Muslim players to be friends with Ozil, and Spanish-speaking companions for Sanchez.
